The Centrist Movement

  •
  •     The Centrists believe that the Republic is nothing more than a puppet regime, serving the interests of the MultiStellar corporations.  The Centrist organization advocates a return to the former Imperial model of government, restoration of the Emperor, and centralization of power to a single family.  The Centrist Movement can be traced back to before the Terek Federation, when protests on Pondii over trade agreements signed with Terek led to the overthrow of the local Pondii government.

The Centrists still maintain a strong following on Pondii, Bastil, and even certain regions of Terek where local government is in conflict with the Republic.  The Centrist cause has often been used as an excuse for violence, terrorism, and civil unrest on Terek and elsewhere.  The Republic struggles with the legality of outlawing Centrist activity, versus preserving rights to freedom of speech.

On Terek, the Centrist splinter factions produce a paper newsletter, The Coronation,  on a weekly basis, using illegal communications channels to distribute the copy around the globe.   The paper advocates Centrist philosophy, encourages workers rights, and attempts to expose the corruption and misuse of power by the MultiStellar Corporations.

Pondii openly accepts Centrism as a political party, and this acceptance has often been a source of friction between Pondii and the Republic.  Pondii is also considered a safe harbor for terrorists sympathetic to the Centrist movement, and while not an Amber Zone, caution is advised when travelling there.
