This is a terrific site. One suggestion...some of the sectors have no subsector names listed (just A-P). The names seem to be available at some other sites. Where subsector names are available, could you add them? Thanks.

Hello! I love this Imperium Atlas, and I applaud the effort you put into it. However, I will question as to why several systems in the Alpha Crucis (Subsector M) have Zhodani Relay Stations? How can there be Zhodani bases deep inside Solomani-owned systems? Was this a mistake?

Thank you for this great resource. While the data here may not be "canonical" it's still a damned fine resource. Is there a plan to add to the planetary descriptions as time goes forward? Lots of blanks there and I've noticed there is very little detail on most systems (understandable considering the scale here).

Yet another person thanking you for your wonderful site. I'm just starting up a traveller campaign and this site is already proving incredibly useful in my first adventure. Wasn't sure where to place things except that I vaguely wanted it in the Spinward Marches. 10 seconds with your site and I not only knew where things were occurring but also had a couple of extra plot hooks inspired.

OOps used greater and less then to mark copied text from faq. Which was interpreted as html and dissappeared! I found your incredible site some time ago, although I wish I had found it a little earlier, before I had started my GURPS Traveller campaign :(. Like everyone else I think it's a great tool. (understatement) FAQ info: I am also thinking of adding more customizable map features, such as allowing users to have a profile so they can create their own personal maps, or mark out maps with routes, etc. I am sure you would have no shortage of users for this feature. My own thoughts are more about having the tools to do the same thing on my system in a more limited way to support my own campaign with out wasting your bandwidth. I have 5 mB of limited use web space (no script support) as part of my ISP package. I would like to be able to customize the area we play in for record keeping on my part. Then generate the player info needed for the game to be printed and/or posted to my small web space for player use ;). This means you would have to make your source available to other gamers, but not necessarily the data due to possible copyright issues of course. If you were interested you could use the resources of https://sourceforge.net/ by starting a new project there. By making it available this way you could also get active help in developing some of those better ideas that are still out there.

Fantastic site! Hard to believe I've been a hard-core Traveller fan all these years and only just now discovered this. (I found it from the links page at freelancetraveller.com, another excellent Traveller site.) It's great that you've added the trade stats from GT: Far Trader. Now if you can just add an bibliographical index lookup of all canonical mentions of each system, that would be the icing on the cake. Email me if you're interested in talking more about that. I can volunteer _some_ labor for it.

This site is fantastic, and I will use it from here on out in my games. I do wish there was more notes about the different worlds, even just a sentence or two. Major cities and sizes, name of ruler or ruling organization, ridiculously detailed stuff like that. Native alien races, major megacorporation holdings. Nothing big. :) Also, I wish it said why worlds were given red or amber zone classifications. Finally, it would be nice for a short explanation of some of the different allegiance codes that are unfamiliar.

I've been checking some items in this Atlas with info from Supplement 3, "The Spinward Marches." In the book (pg 25), there is an Xboat route from Reston (2323) to Capon (2324) in the Lunion Subsector (K) of the Spinward Marches Sector, but this connection is missing from the Atlas. Also, in the book (page 20) Kinorb's (2202, Regina Subsector [C], Spinward Marches) tech level is given as "5", but in the Atlas it is "8." Perhaps (since I'm looking at a CT booklet) things changed over time?

GREAT STUFF! I like everything about it except perhaps the colors of the J6 maps. The should be fading or something to indicate range (greyscale black 10%, 20% ...60% for example) instead of those randomish colors. The J6 maps are great, they give you info on how a particular world sees itself and its neighbours, something that is hard to picture when neighbours span subsectors or even sectors.

This is very cool. It would be nice if you could find what parts of your data are canon, and figure out a way to present that in the map. Such a marking could reasonably include a three-way switch for canon-unofficial-undetermined, plus a note field for the source of canon or unofficial material. Even if you started by marking everything as "undetermined", it would be great, since you'd then have a place to put any source information.

This is fantastic... One of my concerns was whether this departed from the canon. I have been cross checking this with the Atlas of the Imperium and other various sources (Fasa, Paranoia Press, and other websites: http://www.solstation.com/core/astrogation_en.htm; http://zho.berka.com/data/CLASSIC/; http://www.jtas.org/travelleratlas/Sectors.html; and finally, http://www.geocities.com/traveller_core_route/proj001/proj001.html. This brings me to some questions... (not criticisms, please don't take it that way) The Vanguard Reaches does not match my Paranoia Press version. Was there another canon you based this on? Is anyone passing the Landgrab information to you? I have some info for the Far Frontiers sector from FASA (only the Jungleblut subsector from Trail of the Skyraiders). Is that appropriate? Or is there another canon that supersedes? It looks like you are in sync with the Zhodani base, but not the jtas.org atlas. The jtas.org atlas has some things in it I can make heads not tails of... Finally, do you plan to put the Core Route that Clifford Linehan has put together? That would really help out for completeness... I am truly impressed! Anyway, thanks - drop me an email when you can...

In the Amdukan Sector/Ghadz Subsector some of the systems have squared circles in the upper left of the hex. Checking the world data it becomes apparent that these circles are "Independent Military Bases." However, a circle symbol for a military base isn't included in the legend describing hex symbols (initially I thought they were redundant gas giant symbols). I suggest updating the legend.

GREAT site. I've been looking for something like this in my own campaign (esp the J-6 maps). And now some quibbles: The New Islands and Old Islands subsector (J and K)of Reft sector lack system names except those with pop 9+. The names were published in Trillion credit squadron. Also, Wellington (0925) sport an orbital period of 295 days; check out the mass and stellar luminosity of a M6II star!!!

Yep, "bleeding" problems. Iwahfuah Sector, Subsector F, has hexes 911 - 1620, but lists 810, 910, 1110, 1610, all of which are off the map. Part of 1610 shows on this map, but not the others.

In the Iphigenaia Sector/Subsector P, the hexes are numbered from 2531 - 3240. However, hex 2431 shows up in the list. It's actually in Subsector O. May be a 1-time occurrance but may happen elsewhere.

WOW! How cool is this ? I'm not an active Traveller player but i'm still a keen fan and interested collector. If this was on a CD-Rom i would buy it immediately ! You may already know this, but GDW published a poster map back in 1981 which extends beyond this map by one sector coreward (top) and 5 sectors trailing (right).I've never seen a copy of this map so i don't know how useful it is :-) Also the old GDW Alien modules give sector names even beyond the limits of that !

1. In the Solomani Rim Sector (lower right on main map) is the Vegan region of stars. There is also a Vegan region in the Provence and Windhorn sectors at the top of the map, separated from the Solomani Rim sector by the main mass of the Imperium. Is this correct? Many of the Coreward Vegan stars have Solomani Naval bases next to the Vargr region. 2. On the spinward edge of the map is the Astron sector. All of its stars are unnamed, unaligned, with X starports and zero population. Yet many have governmental, law, and tech ratings higher than zero. Wouldn't it be easier to simply zero out the gov/law/tech ratings for worlds with no people?
